After receiving his Medical Degree from Technion University in Haifa, Israel ( MIT of Israel ), Dr. Asta pursued a full residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. He finally completed his training in Neurology at Tufts University in Boston, MA.  Dr. Asta has been practicing neurology in Bergen County for the past 16 years. He has had the opportunity to be the Stroke Director at Holy Name Medical Center from 2008-2014. Dr. Asta is Board Certified in Neurology. He practices general neurology with an interest in dementia and migraine/ headache. Dr. Asta focuses on the patient and not just the disease process. His philosophy is to provide up to date techniques for diagnosis and FDA approved treatments for neurological disorders. Dr. Asta treats all headache conditions, pain conditions ( acute and chronic ), strokes, seizures, motor deficits/ muscle weakness, sensory conditions/ numbness and tingling, dizziness, memory deficits, ADD/ADHD and muscle diseases. His practice, Advanced NeuroMed provides an infusion center which could provide treatments for various disease processes.

Farzana Nanavati is a Board Certified general Neurologist practicing in Bergen county NJ for the last 15 years. She received her degree in medicine from Albert Szent-Gyorgy Medical University in Hungary followed by neurology residency in University of Connecticut.  She pursued neurophysiology fellowship at Drexel University in Philadelphia.  She started her career as a solo Neurologist for Hudson Valley VA system in Castle Point and Montrose NY for 3 years.  Subsequently, she joined Valley Medical Group in Park Ridge, NJ,  where she was practiced for seven years. She has partnered with Dr Asta to form Advanced NeuroMed in Teaneck NJ where she hopes develop novel diagnostic techniques and bring life changing treatments for patients suffering with neurological conditions. She treats patients with migraine headaches, concussions, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, seizures, back pain, stroke, dementia as well as ADD/ADHD, insomnia and depression/ anxiety disorders. She is proficient in nerve conduction studies and EMG for diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, spinal pinched nerves and muscle diseases.  In addition, she performs procedures such as trigger point injections and Botox for treatment of chronic migraines, cervical dystonia and spasticity.
